Warehouse Operational GDP & Thermal Compliance is of critical important to the quality, efficacy and safety of the product and consequently, to the patient – the end user. For any warehouse to meet the standards of compliance expected, it is essential that all areas of operation are engaged correctly, fully and in accord with the established SOP’s and QMS (Standard Operational Procedures and Quality Management System). It effectively becomes a functioning living organism, with every single procedure performed with the safety of the patient in mind, from cleaning and pest control, picking/packing and temperature/environment maintenance, through to products requiring special handling and goods in/out.

This course chiefly concerns itself with the operational rather than the managerial aspect of a Warehouse. Although the functions of a warehouse can be quadrated into typically ten areas, it is not sufficient to simply regard each one as “picking”, “packing”, “goods-in”, etc., as if that were all you needed to know. Each part has within it activities that dovetail into each other, as well as processes elsewhere in the warehouse that are critical to Good Distribution Practice. In this course, you will discover what those processes are.
