Introduction to Management of Controlled Drugs
Avge Pass Rate: 89.8% | You will have two attempts to pass the final assessment.
The training within the Introduction to the Management of Controlled Drugs provides a brief overview of current legislative requirements and GDP guidance with respect to managing and handling controlled drugs (CDs) in a wholesale and supply environment.
Your obligations and responsibilities as a licence holder in CD management will also be looked at, and common deficiencies from previous inspections are also covered.
Several changes affecting the prescribing, record keeping and destruction of CDs have been introduced as a result of amendments to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001. The Controlled Drugs (Supervision of Management and Use) Regulations 2006 came into effect on 1 January 2007. These were further updated in 2013 to include regulations concerning the use of CDs by paramedics.
As with all our courses, the pre and post tests are designed to establish your current knowledge and common sense both before and subsequently after training.
