Introduction

The Pest Control training course introduces you to the ever-present problem of pest control in warehouses and stores. An uncontrolled pest problem in any premises produces a serious risk to the goods you take care of, as well as the health of the staff working in those premises and handling the goods themselves. A lack of awareness could land someone with a serious threat to their health and therefore, pest control is a very necessary and integral part of Good Distribution Practice (as well as Health and Safety), which is not to be taken lightly or regarded as an occasional inconvenience.  All content in this course abides by the European GDP Guidelines (2013/C 343/01), and the MHRA's Human Medicine Regulations (2012).

What's inside...

The course contains details such as the types of pest you may deal with, how to control them correctly, qualifying a Pest Control Provider, contracts and documentation, how to prevent and remedy, the consequences of pests and their regulatory impact.

What you will learn...

The Pest Control Training course will show you what potential damage could be caused by a pest problem. You will also learn of different ways that Pest Control can be properly engaged in your premises in a professional manner while fulfilling Good Distribution Practice Compliance, and where to get correct qualified advice and assistance. You will also discover the numerous different kinds of pests, how to see tell-tale signs of pestilence ingress and activity, and even ways of tracking down potential access points that pests can use.

Who is it for?

The Pest Control training course is for all members of staff (including management and RP’s) actively engaged in the handling, storage and transportation of pharmaceutical products and medical devices in all premises where such activity is licenced. Even those businesses where a formal WDA is not in place but they may find themselves storing ambient goods (for a maximum of 36 hours subject to audit), this course is still for you.
