This Driver Training course is designed to increase awareness and ensure regulatory GDP compliance, in the very important task of goods transportation. The teaching in this course is reflected in the EU GDP Guidelines and the HMR (2012 – revised). This standard is required by the MHRA.
This course will review the following items that relate to Driver protocol and practices:
- Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- WDA License requirements; which relate to vehicle preparation, suitability, and conditions.
- Which Risk Assessments (RA’s) are needed.
- Safety Awareness
- Vehicle Environmental control and temperature management
- Handling of medicinal products
The Learning Objectives of the Driver Training course are:
- The ability to ensure product quality and safety as a Driver / Driver’s Mate
- An increased awareness of GDP regulations and requirements
- GDP best practices in collection, transport and delivery of Pharmaceutical products.

- The WDA Licence Requirements relating to vehicles and Drivers
- When a Risk Assessment should be carried out, and who by.
